Next club day: TBA – Mark Ray.

Steve Reid coordinated the club day off Whakatane heads 25.8.24. Sea was a little sloppy going out and coming back in through the Boat channel but no mishaps. There were several keen yakkers in attendance and the fishing was slow to hard going, but most of us got fish to take home.

Thomas Murphy scored a beut snapper (see pic’s) just on the 60cm line. He caught a small Jack Mackeral and used it as bait and the rest is a story I’m sure Thomas can tell you better. Steve had a mate Michael and two of his moko’s with him big ups to Steve for the setting up of the club day and getting youth into the club. Next club day in September will be organized by Mark Ray and by then the big snapper should be close in,
